Passing By

Passing By begins with people.

Unlike In Plain Sight, where the photograph is built around the relationship between multiple visual elements, this project starts with human behavior. A glance, a gesture, an argument, a moment of humor or an unexpected interaction becomes the reason for making the picture.

The photographs are made instinctively in public spaces, without staging or intervention. Some remain in color, while others become black and white when color no longer contributes to the image. The choice is made individually for each photograph and is never intended to define the project itself.

Rather than telling individual stories, Passing By is an observation of life unfolding in public spaces.
