In Plain Sight

In Plain Sight explores the visual relationships between elements in public spaces.

In this project, Mehdi treats every element of the frame with equal importance. The focus is not on people, but rather on building photographs where color, light, architecture, reflections, shadows and human presence briefly align. A person may become the center of the composition or simply another visual element within it, depending on the scene.

The photographs are made without predetermined ideas. They emerge from observation and from reacting to moments when everything in sight seems to magically click. Color is never just decorative; it is part of the structure of the image itself.
